A month in advance I booked an appointment as a new patient with Dr. Jeanie Ahn, nephrologist in Fremont, CA. I submitted to her all my medical history, a long list of prescriptions and medications, my financial/insurance information, and consent/privacy notes signed. Yet, she canceled me just before my appointed time on account of not being able to reach my PCP over telephone. Sure, my PCP and her nurse were not available just that day. Dr. Ahn didn’t care to review my info for the whole month, until the very last moment. I told her that my health insurance was ending this month and I can’t re-schedule. She was not sorry. Now I don’t want to see her at all. Be ready to a similar treatment if you come as a new patient to Dr. Ahn.
