Destroyed my life!! 'Don't let this doctor touch you or anyone you care for. I now call him Dr. Frankenstein. I've had 3 successful back surgeries before by a different doctor. Dr. Van claimed he did spinal fusion for my herniated disc, BUT HE NICKED MY SPINAL CORD, didn't do the fusion, and damaged the next disk. Two days post-surgery, I complained about numbness and tingling in my leg, but he never saw me, and his associates dismissed it as normal. Since that day, I've never seen or spoken to him again. A year later, I'm dealing with severe intestinal problems and throat problems, limited hand usage, numbness in both hands and feet, complete leg numbness in part of my leg. My speech, eyesight, and my daily thinking have all been compromised?all attributed to spinal nerve damage caused during the surgery. Before the surgery, I walked 5 to 7 miles a day, went hiking and played with my grandkids Now, I cannot walk down 3 steps without help or Do daily activities like getting dressed without assistance. A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
