My appointment with Dr. Kalen left me extremely disappointed. The consultation felt rushed and impersonal. I came in specifically for treatment of scars, but was prescribed a cream for rosacea instead, which was not relevant to my condition. This was particularly surprising given that rosacea is reportedly her specialty, making the mismatched treatment even more concerning. The medication was not only expensive and not covered by my insurance, but after researching, I found it wasn't appropriate for my concerns at all. I invested in the treatment hoping for results, but unfortunately saw no improvement. I would have appreciated more time discussing treatment options and their relevance to my specific scar concerns. I question the recommendation and wish the approach had been more thorough and considerate of both medical appropriateness and cost factors.
