Dr. Jim Ervil was amazing at his job! Very knowledgeable and experienced!

Dr Ervil dismissed a 6 year old patient from his office after the parent expressed contempt regarding the 4 hour office wait during her 12 hour fast required for anesthesia services. Because the wait was so extensive the fast was brought to 16 hours and put her body went into atrophy. When it was expressed that the wait was extensive Dr. Ervil stated, do you want to argue or hear about the procedure. I stated I’m not arguing which I would regret saying instead of “hear about the procedure” because he informed his secretarial staff that he would not perform the procedure after having her fast from 10pm the night prior. The appointment was scheduled for 1 pm and when we were dismissed even the staff was going home. For his patient it was a missed day of school as well as her having to cope with the dental pain until the next appointment which is only once a month. And if the schedule is full you have to wait until the following month. That was my experience with Dr. Ervil. Proper bedside manner and ability to communicate and understand common folk in need of basic health services would have led to proper resolution. I didn’t even mention I said the same thing to the doctor who came in before him and he apologized for the wait and stated let’s her her taken care of so she can eat. I know she’s hungry. That was all I just wanted that validation that the wait was extensive for a child that had to fast. Overall I think that I waited all that time because the child was my priority and he didn’t even treat her because his emotions were his priority- even though he was at work getting paid a $900 out of pocket fee to treat her.
