My initial appointment went well, I felt like I was in good hands. I had bunion surgery and was assured she would realign my foot to eliminate my very large bunion. I was willing to go through the surgery and recovery for a good outcome. My surgery was scheduled for 1pm but Dr Schoenhaus arrived after 3pm, no apology or excuse. The recovery room staff had no idea about my follow up. I had to tell them I needed a boot. When I saw her for my first appointment her conversation was about how quickly she preformed the surgery and that she was home in plenty of time for dinner! When it came time for the reveal and remove the stitches I noticed I still had a bunion. She said it was swollen and would resolve. When it was evident that I still had a bunion, she said maybe she should have shaved it, too late! Then she told me my bone was not knitting back together and I needed to buy a bone stimulator. 17 months later, I have a bunion, my big toe is crooked, and I get terrible cramps. Not Good
