Dr. English was instrumental in saving my wife's life in November of 2012. Three weeks after a kidney transplant she suffered a dissecting fusiform pseudoaneurysm which resulted in a grade V subarachnoid hemorrhage- worst case scenario. I was told after the bleed she would likely not survive the night. Dr. English was so positive and kind when he first came to see me in the neurological ICU at CPMC. He showed me the images from the angiogram, and explained where the bleed occurred (junction of the PICA and vertebral artery) and what he was going to do. He placed a platinum coil in the artery while keeping blood flowing to her cerebellum. I've always remembered his explanation. He gave me hope at the worst time and she is still alive today. Thanks Dr. English. I still owe you that car wash!
