I am a longtime patient of Woodward and was recently transitioned to Dr. Lacy after my primary care doc retired there. I arrived 2 minutes early for my 830am appt, and was told that Dr Lacy had opted not to see me, as his calendar had my appt at 820am, which would have made me 8 min late. I was candidly shocked, as his office was essentially empty with NO patients in waiting area. When I presented my phone/calendar to show that I had the appt down as 830am on my end, i was told it would not make a difference w/ Dr Lacy (aren't they in the patient/customer service business?). To add insult to injury, my wife and I had just spent most of this week in the hospital/NICU as our daughter had arrived 3 weeks early. And to walk into Woodward Medical (whose mission is compassion and understanding) this morning, sleep-deprived and exhausted, only to be turned away because Dr. Lacy didn't want to be inconvenienced with what he viewed as a "late" appt, is a whole new level patient degradation.
