I was told I need spinal fusion and the surgery would change my life. He was right, I went from back pain to twice as much pain 24 hours a day going on two years now. I'm also not able to sleep more than 3 to 4 hours a day. When I informed him of my pain, he had no idea how to relive it. I had the VA do an MRI of my lumbar and they found fluid build up pressing on my spine, a pool of blood or a blood clot and the blood patch on my spinal didn't work and my spine was leaking. I should mention that two weeks after my surgery, they removed the drainage tubes in my back. One week later I was rushed into surgery to place them back in. This was done three times, so I actually had four surgeries within two months. I now have to have a fifth surgery to remove the liquid pressing on my spine, find out where the blood is coming from and fix the spinal leak.
