Dr Krather implanted a pacemaker, put the lead completely through my heart, out the other side into blood vessels, causing the loss of over four units of blood and almost my life. This caused me to be taken from Community hospital in Toms River to Deborah by ambulance for emergency life saving open heart surgery to remove pieces of the pacemaker, sew up my heart and blood vessels. A third operation was required in the same week to redo the Krathen pacemaker installation, replacing the leads. A three hour procedure, if done correctly, turned into an 18 day stay in two hospitals along with 50 various doctor visits, tests and physical therapy. Through all this pain an suffering, Dr Krather never once bothered to check to see if I was was alive or dead and I never saw or heard from him after taken for my lifesaving open heart surgery.
