Around 8 months ago, I went to the office of Dr. Moreno,to get his opinion on a surgery, I needed him to perform. When I spoke to Dr. Alvarez Moreno, he gave me a date for the surgery and explained to me he was willing to perform it with no problem, since this is a surgery he is extremely familiar with. Now everything started to not work out for the simple fact, his staff is not familiar with the patients needs when it comes to insurance paperwork. The lady he has at the front desk,which I forgot her name, is very unpleasant. She asked me for a couple of things I needed to get accomplished before surgery and right away I went to my primary doctor ,and got a clearance for the surgery. The problem started when she told me my insurance needed to give me an approval for this type of procedure,but when I called them on the phone,my insurance agent said I didn't need any approval since this Dr. is in the network. To make a long story a bit shorter, his staff ,this one specific lady ,with the blue eyes kind of short, made it impossible and would not listen to me. She said she would not call my insurance,and the date of the surgery came, and that was it. The doctor didn't perform surgery. I had to start from scratch,and look for another surgeon.It has been a month since my surgery and I'm doing much better,and I'm super glad this Dr. Alvarez Moreno didn't perform this surgery after all. So no I don't recommend this doctor because his staff has no idea what they are doing. Shame on you, you are his assistant and you know who you are, I didn't conceal my name , I want other people who are in need of a surgeon to look for a Dr. office that is trained. This is not a joke. I am gonna go personally to This Dr's office and let him no this lady he has as an assistant, knows nothing about how to handle insurance issues. Have a little sympathy next time. Do your job right ??
