I am disgusted with the way my husband was treated. We first saw A.Mankin who was very professional and understanding. After looking over my husband's medical records and doing an exam he wanted to converse with Dr. Calvert. After their conversation Mankin came back in the exam room and stated that Dr.Carver would take care of him and agreed that my husband needed surgery. Before we left he had us schedule an appointment with Dr. Calvert. We scheduled for 2 days later. Dr. Calvert would not even look eye to eye when talking to my husband and stated that he would not perform the surgery like we were told 2 days before he would. He did not give any reasoning just left the room. My husband has been to 4 Urologist now that said he needs this surgery to get out of pain. We were referred to Urology Associates because the other places did not have the resources to do this surgery, which is minor surgery that they do all the time ( from what the website states). I don't know if it's because my husband is a Veteran and he is on a referral from the VA, I sure hope you don't treat all Veterans this way. It's hard enough to get my husband to go to the doctor but he had a glimpse of hope 2 days prior to seeing Dr. Calvert that he was going to get the care he needed just to be treated the way he was. It's disgusting. Very unprofessional and did not care if my husband received treatment or not.
