You only have one chance to make a first impression and Dr. Joseph Espelund left a horrible one on me. He was rude, short, irritated, flippant and I will never seek his services again. His "bedside manner" - if you can call it that - lacked any semblance of compassion or even the ability to listen and actually hear me, let alone understand. He acted like my being there was a nuisance to him. Didn't greet me when he came in. Left the room, in a huff, without even saying anything in the way of a conclusion. Just left. I was in tears by then. He is the physician who took over the caseload of my regular physician when he relocated, and I wish Dr. Samuel Medaris was still there. He changed my health for the better and helped me tremendously. And he was always kind, polite and showed understanding. Seeing Dr. Espelund was a waste of time and money. It's very expensive to see a specialist and it would've done more good to skip my visit with him and throw my money out the window.
