I like Dr. Winocour, but patients should know they’re not likely to see him beyond the initial consult and day of surgery. When I asked to see him before surgery, I was told twice by staff that he would “pop in” to my pre-op (he didn’t). The next time, I requested an appointment 4 months in advance because I had questions about how my post-op complications could impact the procedure, and the scheduler told me flatly that “Dr. Winocour doesn’t do pre-ops.” Dr. Winocour did not respond to my message or request for a phone call, either. After my surgeries, his PA could not answer my questions about details of what was done in the procedures, so I’m still in the dark about aspects of my procedures. He seems to have too many patients to adequately care for them all, so I believe the issue ultimately lies with the hospital system and insufficient physician staffing. I would NOT recommend this clinic - terrible patient care. I wish I had chosen a different surgeon for my procedures.
