Dr Vellucci is one of the most patient and thorough doctors I've ever been referred to. My PCM felt a small lump on my thyroid and referred me to Dr Vellucci for follow up. Dr Vellucci made sure I received an ultrasound and a FNA for the lump. The results came back a little wonky but not definitive. Rather than waiting the suggested one year to repeat the FNA, he knew from experience that I needed to have a follow up FNA in 6 months. He also knew that molecular testing would provide more definitive results and made sure I received that testing. Thankfully he did because the results came back as a very likely malignant nodule and I was immediately referred to a specialist (he would have done the procedure to remove the lobe but unfortunately he was transferring to El Paso). I would have gladly followed him to El Paso for my care if it was feasible for me! I am forever grateful to Dr Vellucci!!!
