My son had a gall bladder torsion, which can often times be fatal. It was misdiagnosed as gastroenteritis, but as his pain worsened I returned to the hospital for more testing. An x-ray of his digestive tract came back empty, but his white blood cell count was through the roof and indicated an infection. He was immediately referred to surgery for appendicitis. Dr. Green told me she could verify her suspicions via CT scan, but cautioned against additional radiation. She said she would verify visually through laparoscopic surgery, and she did. She discovered the gall bladder torsion and kept my wife and I informed throughout the process. Had she not performed surgery on my son, he would be in a grave.
