I met Dr. Kalia in February of 2023 when I was admitted to the hospital with back pain so excruciating that I was barely able to walk. The results of a CT scan and an MRI showed herniated discs and spinal compression . He explained my condition and the available options and told me that a spinal injection was the first course of action to relieve some pain. The pain relief was minimal at best and I consulted with him at his office a month later. I entered the office crying from severe pain, using a walker. He said surgery was indicated and amazingly was able to schedule it for the next day. Not only did he accomplish that but he actually sat with me in the pre- op room for about 15 minutes before my surgery which went a long way to calm me and ease my fears. I have never had a surgeon who took the time to do this before previous surgeries. Dr. Kalia is a kind and compassionate surgeon and I thank him for the fact I can now resume normal activities!
