My teenage son was rushed by ambulance after completely dislocating his shoulder on the sports field. Dr. Gruskin was calm, compassionate, and attentive to my child through the harrowing experience in what was a very busy night at the ER. She attended to him with urgency to get some pain relief and while she struggled with some of the ER backups specifically in getting films (reason for four vs five stars) she did not project her frustrations to us. Ultimately she partnered with the anesthesiologist to get his shoulder back in place and did her due diligence in speaking with the on call orthopedic to ensure we were all aligned on the treatment and next steps. As awful as this injury and experience was for my son, we felt as though we were in good hands with Dr. Gruskin.
