I went in for a general care appointment to talk about getting off my SSRI and potentially trying a new medication. I was rushed through my appointment and didn't feel like I was being listened to. After following her instructions to taper off the drug, I went into serotonin withdrawal. After getting a new doctor I learned that instead of 2 weeks (recommended by Schreck) I should have tapered for 3 months. Since I felt bad I started taking the backup med and called her office to inform them that I was starting it and would like to speak with Dr. Schreck. The backup med we decided on was not an SSRI so I continued to fall into a horrible mental health crisis. A WEEK later I followed up after not hearing back and only after crying on the phone did the kind receptionist force me into Dr. Schreck's schedule. I never got a call back from Dr. Schreck. Only after filling out a mental health intake form did I hear back from one of her nurses.
