At my first appointment with Dr. Kroger, an intern who was not yet in medical school was permitted to be present while I was unclothed. I was not asked about my comfort level or informed in advance that the intern would see me in that condition. I cannot imagine Dr. Kroger would have been comfortable with the same situation involving herself or a family member.As a veteran in my mid-forties, I have rarely felt so disrespected or ashamed in a medical setting. I am giving three stars rather than one because Dr. Kroger is clearly knowledgeable and did help address my medical issue, for which I am grateful.Still, ten months later, I think about that appointment every day. At a follow-up visit, Dr. Kroger was kind and professional, but I could not bring myself to return afterward. I genuinely do not know whether the benefit I received outweighed the harm I experienced. For that reason, I cannot recommend for or against seeking care from her.
