Although I’m usually very punctual, this day I tried my best to get my kids in order and leave my home on time. Unfortunately, I missed and I arrived 10 mins after my scheduled appointment. The front desk team told me that since I was a bit late they had to give her a call to confirm she was good to see me. I waited 20-25 mins. before they were able to check in with her, after all the wait - she declined. I understand that timeliness is important and that everyone has a life but 10 mins? Really? Especially when it took me months to be able to schedule an appointment with her? I found it unfair that they made me wait 20 mins for her to respond but she couldn’t take me 10 mins after? I’ve waited months to see my ObGyn due to severe pain and discomfort only to be dismissed due to a 10 min delay. I left the clinic in tears, it is sad and frustrating! next available appointment? 3 months away! Some consideration, empathy and understanding goes a long way! Especially when it’s only 10 mins.
