Dr. Dilbeck is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. She listens carefully to your concerns and doesn't make assumptions or judgments. She is up to date with current treatments. I hadn't had a primary care doctor in many many years and I have a lot of health issues. She immediately ordered tests to see how things are now. She has been trying very hard to get my blood pressure down so I can safely be put out and get all my teeth pulled. Every visit I feel very calm and comfortable with her. Any concerns I have, she listens to and then offers possible solutions or information. I feel incredibly fortunate to have gotten her as my doctor. I can count on one hand how many doctors I've seen that are trustworthy out of over 50 ive seen total. Dr. Dilbeck is one of the rare ones who I trust.
During this extremely brief encounter, the physician made multiple inappropriate and irrelevant comments about my insurance history. She stated that because I previously had Kaiser insurance, I was “privileged” compared to other patients in her office who “could not afford treatment.” She continued discussing other patients’ financial situations, suggested I had advantages others did not. These remarks were discriminatory, judgmental, and completely unrelated to my medical needs. Following this refusal of care, the physician then walked to the front desk and informed the secretaries that I would be filing a complaint with the board, which I had stated only after her refusal to treat me. Her disclosure of this information to staff was completely inappropriate and appeared to be an act of retaliation. The front desk staff reacted with visible shock and took her side, engaging in what felt like unprofessional, high-school-level gossip and judgment. Their behavior added humiliation to an already distressing experience and further discouraged me from receiving necessary medical care.
