After 32 years as a patient of Doctor Loesberg I would consider him a competent dentist. However, a crown he recently inserted fell apart after only 15 months, and insurance would not cover the replacement cost - $1000 - since they expect a crown to last five years. I thought that Dr. Loesberg might give me a discount given the short life of the crown and my 32 years of loyalty. Wrong. Instead he responded in his familiar condescending tone "What do you want me to do, wave a magic wand?"
