Patient Reviews
Feb 12, 2026
I have now had two appointments with Dr. Cruel, and unfortunately the impression I received was the same during both visits. Throughout my interactions, he came across as indifferent and disengaged, which made me feel as though I was being judged simply for being there with a Workers’ Compensation injury. I understand that some providers encounter patients who attempt to misuse the system, but that is not why I sought care. I scheduled these appointments because I am experiencing genuine limitations with the mobility of my left arm and was looking for professional medical guidance and treatment. I have a documented injury confirmed by MRI that clearly shows physical damage resulting from a work-related incident. Because of this, I expected a thorough explanation of the findings and a meaningful discussion about my condition. Instead, the MRI was reviewed without any real effort to explain what was wrong — what structures were damaged, the severity of the injury, the expected recovery process, or what my long-term outlook might be. While I was told that surgery was not necessary, there was little discussion about whether physical therapy alone is expected to heal a torn tendon or what results I should realistically anticipate. Being given a referral to physical therapy without a clear understanding of my injury left me feeling dismissed rather than treated. During my most recent visit, Dr. Cruel apologized for not being able to perform surgery, despite the fact that I never requested or expected surgery. What I want is straightforward — an objective medical evaluation, clear communication, treatment options, and a provider who shows genuine interest in helping me recover. Patients seeking care for work-related injuries deserve the same level of attention, respect, and professionalism as any other patient. As someone with a verified injury, I believe it is reasonable to expect communication, education about my condition, and the opportunity to ask questions so I can fully understand my path to recovery. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
