Dr. Cohen made my father jump through a series of hoops getting clearance for surgery only to refuse to operate months later. Her bedside manner at numerous visits was so poor that I begged my father to find a new surgeon but he was desperate to get the surgery and didn't want to start from square zero.To provide some detail...Dr. Cohen stated that the cause of my father's pain came from other issues that needed more immediate attention and not the medical issue for which we sought her help. After diligently following up on Dr. Cohen's concerns with various specialists and getting their clearance, Dr. Cohen revealed she didn't feel comfortable performing the surgery anyway. It was clear Dr. Cohen made this decision at the onset but didn't share this.In the end, another doctor performed the surgery without issue.While it is completely within Dr. Cohen's right to refuse to operate, sharing this intention would have saved my father from months of agonizing pain and hundreds of dol
