During our surgical consultation Dr. Chu brushed off our concerns regarding a major surgery. Additionally, he seemed annoyed with questions regarding the procedure, approach, and recovery. He said there are no studies for this type of surgery and said "if" my dad survives. I asked if the surgery was robotic and he said "no, no one does it that way and if you want it different then you can have a referral for someone else," Followed by, "so do you want to schedule or not?" Needless to say I did not walk away confident in his ability or care for patients. Again, I cannot stress how poor his bedside manner was during our visit.
