Dr O’Malley was my doctor for many years ever since she joined IMA. Over the years I referred her to many people because of the level of time and care she took with me at every visit. Sadly, I can no longer refer her to anyone and I will no longer be a patient with her or IMA. Even though I like her as a person, my last 3 years as her patient has been underwhelming. The appointments are always rushed and there has been a lack of knowledge, organization and overall care when it came to helping me with my complex medical issues. I originally chose to go to an internal medicine practice because of my complicated health problems. Internal medicine drs tend to take more time and care in general. That is no longer the case here. Dr O’Malley is now choosing to practice under a concierge model going forward, which is basically cash-based. She is no longer taking regular insurance-covered patients, which is probably a good idea. Sad to write this review, because I wrote the exact opposite about her several years ago. Now I am having to start over in a new practice with a new doctor.
