Patient Reviews

We had to go through several tests to make sure we were a good candidate for the surgery. Also, the doctor is an artist he actually made a drawing upside down to him that showed us where the surgery would take place and explained the hernia problem. He carefully listened to our questions and answered them clearly giving us a high level of comfort. The surgery performed was Laparoscopic Redo Paraoesophageal Hiatal Repair Surgery, The hiatal hernia was gigantic and the patient, my son had almost no stomach left. The surgery took 9 hours and 45 minutes and though not overly complicated had many steps including undoing previous surgery correcting the hiatal hernia, lengthening the esophagus , putting mess in and adding lots and lots of sutures. We were kept informed as to the progress every 1-2 hours. The doctor met with us after the surgery and the next several days of hospital recovery. The doctor was excellent in informing us what had taken place and the recovery steps needed.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
