73 yo dad I'm helping with paying bills. If I could give negative stars, I would. During my dad's physical, she asked me if I had siblings and where do they live, does my dad have an Advanced Care plan, no?, here's a piece of paper to take home and fill out. Mind you, this is a generally awkward provider, and I've put up with it because I was told Southcoast does not move patients from one provider to another. Got charged $140 after a 'nice' self pay discount, for a 30 min conversation on it that never happened and no one told me that I would be charged. So MIPS credit was not enough I guess. Gotta charge lawyer consulting fees at the doctor's office? Also, got charged for filling out depression screenings in the lobby. And some $300, again, after a 'nice' discount, for a preventive visit in addition to the OV visit. Nobody ever called to follow up on labs done. I had to read them myself and tell my dad his potassium was low. Just predatory is all I can qualify that visit as.
