A knowledgeable physician but with a cold and sometimes condescending tone. There are physicians whose expertise plays into a power dynamic that distances them from those they treat ; and there are those whose expertise acknowledges and strengthens the intersubjective nature of medical care. Dr. Chuang is of the former school, though I believe she means well.
