How likely are you to recommend Dr. Zahn?
During a highly stressful ER visit, this provider demonstrated extremely poor bedside manner and judgment. Rather than focusing on the medical situation at hand, she appeared more interested in interrogating and accusing patients and parents, repeatedly asking the same questions without listening to the answers already given. The environment was chaotic, yet instead of providing calm leadership, reassurance, or clear medical direction, she was visibly rude, dismissive, and confrontational—not only toward patients and family members, but also toward her own nursing staff. Communication was tense and unproductive, which only escalated an already frightening situation. In emergency medicine, especially during critical or emotional events, patients and families need clarity, empathy, and confidence. Unfortunately, this provider showed little understanding of how to manage people—or medicine—during a high-pressure scenario. The lack of listening, constant interruptions, and hostile tone made the experience far worse than it needed to be. This was one of the worst ER experiences our family has ever had, and I would strongly caution others before trusting their care to this provider.
I was prescribed medication that was neither clinically indicated nor safely evaluated for my medical history. As a direct result of her actions, I developed hyperkalemia, a dangerous and potentially fatal condition that required additional, preventable medical intervention. Dr. Zahn demonstrated a profound lack of medical judgment, empathy, and professional responsibility. She disregarded input from established primary care physicians, failed to accommodate or appropriately interact with a patient on the autism spectrum, and neglected to address the actual medical condition presented.
Dr. Lisa Zahn demonstrated a complete lack of empathy and understanding of my existing medical conditions, as well as a disregard for the guidance of my primary care physician. She showed no knowledge or sensitivity toward ASD and exhibited no compassion. I strongly recommend asking for a different doctor if you encounter her. I initially sought treatment for a painful ear infection and clogged ear, but instead of addressing that, she focused on treating high blood pressure—something I typically don't suffer from. My elevated blood pressure was due to stress and pain at the time. Since my primary doctor was unavailable, I started taking the medication she prescribed. However, it was clear she resented the fact that I already had a trusted primary physician, and she dismissed what I shared about his advice. Unfortunately, this medication had severe consequences. Despite being assured it wouldn't harm me, I ended up back in the hospital—not for my ear but because of the medication she prescribed without knowing my medical history. My condition worsened, and she showed no concern for my needs. When I explained that I was ASD, in pain, stressed, and anxious, she simply walked away. All I needed was relief from the pain in my ear canal. Thankfully, after detoxing from the harmful medication, my blood pressure has been stable for days, and I’m doing much better. Dr. Lisa Zahn is not only a terrible doctor but also lacks basic human decency. Her negligence almost cost me my life. I’ve reported her to the Board of Medicine and believe she should lose her medical license. facility has cameras and security to prove my experience as well as I have 2 witnesses
