Patient Reviews
May 28, 2025
My experience with Dr. Louis Michaelos was extremely disappointing and frustrating. He was arrogant, defensive, and spoke to me in a condescending and unprofessional manner simply because I questioned inconsistencies in my medical notes. When I asked why my prior visit — where I received plugs — was not documented, he became hostile and dismissive rather than offering a clear explanation. After I called the office to complain, I was suddenly told the plugs were in the notes, which felt suspicious and frankly dishonest. Instead of taking accountability, Dr. Michaelos blamed the issue on another doctor, Dr. Sorrentio, who he claimed had since been fired. This finger-pointing and lack of ownership only made things worse and further eroded my trust in his care. To make matters worse, since my cataract surgery at his office, my reading vision in my left eye has become very blurry — a complication I was not properly warned about or supported through. The lack of follow-up and clear communication has left me feeling deeply regretful about trusting this practice with my eye care. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and transparency, especially when it comes to their vision and health. Unfortunately, that was absolutely not the case here.
