I had high hopes for Dr. Lucero Rodriguez's office, but unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite. My 79-year-old mother, who has been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and is severely depressed, had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Rodriguez on June 10 at 4:30 pm. On the day of the appointment, June 10th, my mother woke up with diarrhea. I called Dr. Lucero Rodriguez’s office at 8:55 am to request a tele-visit instead of an onsite visit. However, I did not receive a reply. I called again at 11:49 am to follow up on the request and was told to call back in 10 minutes. When I called back at 11:59 am, I was informed that my mother’s 4:30 pm appointment had been canceled without any explanation. There was no attempt to explain why a tele-visit couldn’t be possible. I was just coldly told that the next available appointment was in July. I am extremely disappointed with how Dr. Lucero Rodriguez's office handled my mother's appointment. Despite my mother's health and mental condition, the office showed a complete lack of empathy, compassion, and flexibility. This insensitivity is unacceptable, and we (the patients) should demand a more compassionate and understanding approach from a medical professional organization. Although I requested that Dr. Lucero contact me directly, she has not. I hope she eventually learns of my experience by reading my reviews.
