Had a great experience with Dr. Gaufin. We decided after the first visit that the best course of action was to see if we could strengthen my muscles around the herniated disc and see if that would lessen the pain. After about nine months the pain started to get to a point where I couldn't live with it. So I had them schedule me for surgery the recovery was very easy and the scare is hardly noticeable. Have a little less bending movement after the fusion but no pain so I chalk that us as a giant win. I would highly recommend Dr. Gaufin went and had a second opinion by another doctor and he wanted to operate right then. Thought that was interesting because at that point it was more of an annoyance then seriously impacting my life. Glad to have doctors who want what is best for the patient.
