My daughter went in for two simple procedures this morning. Both were recommended by her primary care due to some autoimmune issues during and after her pregnancy. They wanted to rule out any further concerns other than pregnancy hormones. Upon completion of the procedures, because it took more than the normal dose of anesthesia (which also happened 5 months ago during her emergency c-section) Dr. Alvarez accused her of being on narcotics, smoking weed, and stated that she was making up the condition that required the procedures. This is unprofessional and humiliating for any patient. I can assure you my daughter is not, and has never been a drug addict, and the condition that led to these procedures is very real! Our family and hers has witnessed it. My heart is broken for my daughter! No patient should be made to feel this way at anytime!
