Although I believe Dr. Arias had good intensions, my delivery with her is one of the biggest regrets that left me deeply traumatized, both physically and emotionally.As soon as I was fully dilated to 10 cm, she pressured me to push even though I repeatedly told her I didn’t feel the urge yet. I had declined the epidural, so I could clearly feel what was happening. This premature pushing led to prolonged labor and distress for my baby. In the end, she panicked and used a vacuum device too early, which not only caused a severe tear but also resulted in lifelong pelvic organ prolapse which I still struggle with years later.She also stitched my tear very poorly, leaving one side pulled downward and visibly deformed.For the past few years, I’ve battled depression, regret, and grief over this experience and the lasting physical injury it caused. I understand that every doctor needs to learn and gain experience, but I feel disgusted that it came at the expense of destroying my health.
