. Never had problems with office until my cardiologist retired. Since August calls over 30min and dropped calls. Today, I was disconnected after 35min. Arrived on time and mentioned the phone wait time to the receptionist. She forcefully responded “there are only 3 people handling 500 calls a day; the office is understaffed” . After 30 minutes - nurse took vitals. After 2 min , the doctor came in and said she would return within 15 min.. Waited 45 minutes - finally went to find an office of staff chatting and laughing. . Doctor finally came and took responsibility for the delay, but pretty much conveyed that she also has to wait for doctors and at least I have options. I got the message, doctor. My message - I don’t mind waiting for doctors if there is organization and communication . When going over my records she referred more to a CT scan ordered by another doctor and just briefly mentioned two tests she had ordered. A nurse barged in - no knock and rushed the doctor off
