Dr Appiah was 1.5 hours late to my appointment, but I understand things come up so that was not my issue. This was my first time seeing her for my annual well woman check up, and she breezed in the room and didn’t introduce herself or the nurse and had me lay back and just started the exam. I felt so uncomfortable and like a stranger violated me because she was so rushed and did not take a single moment to try to let me feel comfortable with her since we hadn't met before. She told me that I would have a complicated pregnancy because I had a specific procedure then proceeded to say she’s seen women who had the same procedure give birth at 14 weeks and then basically just left. She barely sat down the whole time and was speed talking so that I did not feel comfortable trying to ask questions that I had because she seemed as if she just wanted to get out of the room. I did not feel comfortable with my visit or the level of care I received and felt as if she did not care about my health.
