Honestly I have been very fortunate to have Dr. Chofla as my psychiatrist for about two and a half years. My first appointment with Dr. Chofla included a psychiatric evaluation that was performed in patient-focused manner that made me feel like I was being treated with dignity and respect. At the same time, It was obvious that Dr. Chofla was making a valuable and sincere effort to build rapport with me and just having an interest in getting to know me as a person. These observations along with Dr. Chofla 's highly effective ability to express empathy (I felt that Dr. Chofla used empathy as a indirect way to show a patient that he is listening/acknowledging the concerns. Furthermore, Dr. Chofla's empathetic personality traits ultimately gave me the vibe that Dr. Chofla is interested in my concerns because he cares about my well-being and actively applies his best effort to help improve my mental health while also emphasizing The importance of quality of life. My first clinical encounter with Dr. Chofla was 2 months after I was diagnosed with testicular cancer (Stage IIb). A month after I was diagnosed , I had surgery to have my left testicle surgically removed improve my quality of life as well as mental health with The intention removed. During this moment my then girlfriend ended up leaving me and she t the responsibilities of paying my apartment rent solely on my shoulders. Tea I honestly believe if I did not continue seeing Dr. Chofla throughout the three months of chemotherapy, I most likely would not be here today! I can say for a fact that Dr. Chofla save My Life!
