When I arrived in Sept.2022 for a toothache from a lost filling due to a fracture, they didn't have me on schedule but, worked me in. The x-ray showed 1-2 molars were decayed and needed further x-rays from their endodontist who said she didn't take my insurance. I asked how one part does and one part doesn't. They couldn't give me an answer but advised me to find an endodontist who did. If they had simply advised me that my insurance did not cover root canals, I could have saved some time and effort. I even just asked them to pull the tooth, but they gave me an outrageous amount (around $600) so being unable to get insurance to cover the root canal for more than 20% of the cost, I had change insurers for 2023 to include comprehensive procedures. I did not know that dentists have gone the way of medical doctors and now specialize in the different phases of dentistry that general dentistry used to handle. In the end, no one cared about my toothache...just how much they could make off my insurance.
