My sister and I just brought our 84 year old mother to the ER for a COPD exacerbation. She was admitted and Dr. Brakora was her doctor today. He proceeded in a judging tone to tell my sister that it was the family’s fault our mom was having a flair because we bring her cigarettes. Well she she’s smoked for over 60 years. The last two years we have brought her cigarettes to her in the assisted living facility she lives in. The last 2 years didn’t put her in this position, the lifetime of smoking did. Our mom has dementia and my sister and I do everything we can to bring her what she needs so she’s happy. It was extremely rude of him to place blame on us. That was not his purpose. I hope we never encounter him again!
