I was less than 10 Days post-operation of a 9 hour surgery, there were some complications regarding my pain management. When all was said and done, he lacked important understanding of physiological systems within the body, particularly the use of buprenorphine with post op pain management using opioids. He didn’t read my file thoroughly, he didn’t call the prescriber but instead called a different provider (with whom he said was fantastic yet pronounced his name incorrectly), I questioned his problem solving skills…not rational decision to bother an unrelated off duty doc. There were inconsistencies with reasons why he would not follow through with what I was told to do by the 24 hour triage nurse line. He abruptly left the consultation after telling me he didn’t have time for this, then alleged that I eloped after being told by him that he’d take care of the paperwork. I would not recommend Matthew Nolan.
