My experience with this practice was highly disappointing from beginning to end. I had to jump through multiple hoops just to get medication that was prescribed to me. It was initially sent to the wrong pharmacy, and I was not given clear or helpful options for getting the issue corrected. I was diagnosed with IBS-D, but during the process I felt that my other mental health conditions were repeatedly brought into the discussion in a way that felt dismissive of the gastrointestinal symptoms I was actually seeking care for. Dr. Shapiro in particular came across as condescending when discussing my other diagnoses, which made me feel like my concerns were not being taken as seriously as they should have been. Communication and follow-through were also poor. It took almost two weeks for me to receive my lab results, and I later found out that the lab used was out of network for my insurance, leaving me with an unexpected bill.
