Utterly incompetent, and should not be considered a "medical professional"...why? He completely missed MULTIPLE clinical (routine lab work) and observational signs of my wife's NAFLD/cirrhosis; how does someone's cholesterol values drop almost 90 points in a 12-month period WITHOUT medication OR dietary changes? How does a medical doctor insist that a patient's anemia "MUST" be due to bleeding from somewhere when she exhibits no clinical signs, yet lab work-pancytopenia, high RDW, and CT scans showing an enlarged spleen-clearly demonstrate hemolytic anemia secondary to liver disease? If a simple layman like me can research this topic and find such evidence, why can't an "experienced medical professional"? And, to boot, when this theory is mentioned to Patel, he dismisses my concerns as "Oh, a Doctor Internet"? Yet, Patel had no problem ordering multiple colonoscopies and endoscopies, which do nothing but line his pockets with lots of dollars for very little work.
