I was surprised to see someone leave a negative review for Dr G. I have found her to be the most patient and helpful doctor I have ever seen. I am about 20 years into my diagnosis and she has been my specialist for about 8? years. I wish I'd seen her from the beginning. When I went to VMMC, every time I went back I had a different doctor, got frustrated, and went a few years without treatment before finding her. The only time I've had to see someone else was when she was on maternity leave. She listens intently and truly has the desire to help her patients. She responds quickly to the My Chart questions which is so helpful as I travel almost 1000 miles from Alaska to see her. When I asked for a referral to another specialist, she didn't CYA and give me three names - she gave me one and he was great as well, knowing I do a lot of research and don't tolerate doctors treating me like I'm not smart enough to speak their language. I feel like she is a partner in my health.
