I saw Dr. Oler when she was on her pediatric rotation at WCH in Columbia. I was a new mom who decided to not breastfeed my baby, as it was what I felt was best for my child. She continued to berate me in front of the whole pediatrics team, saying if I wanted what was best for my baby then I would continue to try to breastfeed. However, her attending stepped in and said "We do not mom shame here, she has decided she does not want to breastfeed, it is her decision.". Worst pediatric resident I had ever had the indecency of meeting. She then went on to say she didn't have children as she was trying to re-swaddle my newborn. Makes sense as to why she was so quick to pass judgement on the breastfeeding topic.
