I recently saw Dr. Hazlitt in the emergency department at Vassar Hospital because I was concerned that my retina had detached. From the moment I arrived, every staff member I interacted with was professional, kind, and reassuring, which immediately put me at ease.When I met Dr. Hazlitt, I knew I was in excellent hands. She is an outstanding physician in every respect—thorough, highly skilled, and deeply compassionate. She took the time to clearly explain each step of the examination, answered all of my questions with patience, and provided detailed information without creating unnecessary worry. Her calm, engaging, and non-judgmental bedside manner made an unsettling situation feel manageable, and I left feeling well cared for and genuinely supported.
