Patient Reviews
Mar 10, 2023
I've had nothing but problems after cataract surgery 8 months ago, followed by YAG laser surgery. Dr. Shapiro's attitude completely changed when I said I was having ongoing blurry vision issues. He referred me to a retina specialist, who told me I didn't need a retina specialist and referred me to a cataract/cornea specialist instead. I was confused and left a message for Dr. Shapiro or his assistant to call me and to this day have never received a call. Since then I've randomly run into other former patients of his who had similar experiences. He's very friendly when all goes well, but seems to take an exit if there are any problems. I went to him for several years, but I could not recommend him anymore.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
