I met Dr. Cools last year after giving birth to my extremely premature daughter. He is one of the most personable humans I’ve encountered in the medical field. Most doctors leave all of their work to their nurses and physician assistants barely coming in to say hello. Not Dr. cools. He comes into your room with a smile that eases the pain, ready to explain any medical condition to which you understand and also what he plans to do regarding intervention. Heck! He’s even drawn me pictures of the brain lol! He has amazing bed side manner. I am so grateful for him! My daughter had meningitis and coded blue on Christmas Day. He came into work as if it were his child whose life was on the line comforting me and my husband and jumping straight into scrubs to perform emergency surgery. It doesn’t get any better than that!
