My mother just had total knee replacement yesterday with Dr Feign. I wasn't impressed at all. Her O2 levels immediately after surgery were low below 90 but would sometimes go above 90 if she focused on deep breathing so they sent her home with no oxygen thinking she would be fine. Later that night her O2 levels dropped to 76 and her heart rate fell to 57 (normal for her is 85). She called the office and left messages 5 times that night and the next day and never even received a phone call back. Finally on the 6th attempt she demanded to speak to anyone who could help. Their recommendation was to spend the money and go to ER instead of simply ordering her oxygen which they were going to do anyway immediately after the surgery but for some reason that was a problem ordering oxygen the day after surgery! I've had 6 surgeries myself and I always receive a call from the doctor's office the next day to check on me. Apparently this office not only doesn't follow up the next day but also won't return 5 voice messages!! Absolutely unacceptable and I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone! Also, they wouldn't even give a time for the surgery until late in the day prior to surgery. Upon picking her up post surgery, there was no one in the office at 2 pm. I couldn't find anyone so that I could go back and pick up my mom!
