After I went through a serious trauma and had to travel frequently for unrelated reasons, my mental health was so poor I was unable to function in many ways. Most importantly for this story, I was too anxious to make phone calls. I had to reschedule my appointment prior to all of this, but he had told me to call him after my travels. Instead of contacting me, Dr Barnett went behind my back and spoke to a family member, who was also a patient, about the situation and gave me an ultimatum to contact him or loose all of my medications. This made my anxiety far worse and I was unable to call him. Dr Barnett never once contacted me and instead took me off of several medications cold turkey. When I did see him, he was smug and impersonal. Dr Barnett may be a good choice for you if you want your mental health to be met with a cold and clinical response. If you're looking for compassion, look elsewhere.
